Strength is
a gentle
and quiet spirit.
It is
contentment with who God has made you,
where God
has positioned you
and the
great plans He has for you.
It is
rising after every fall in God’s strength,
trusting
that He will guide your steps and heal your wounds.
Strength
may not be seen in achievement, but in the small flame of courage
(though it
may only just flicker).
Strength is
embracing the gifts from God: those promised and those given,
keeping
your eyes open to see them, choosing joy always
- not always happiness, but constantly joy.
Strength is
never found in oneself,
but devoid
of pride, is found in a steady reliance on God.
Strength is
continually realizing
your own
shortcomings,
weaknesses,
and admitting
your inability to continue with out
God’s
providence and presence,
Jesus’
saving grace
and the
Spirit’s guiding hand.
Strength is
not found
On earth
in wealth,
in flesh or
through
pride
but is
firmly rooted in heaven.
